OL Depth

Any word about how the current backups are developing @AustinWard @Bill Landis ? Have heard that Zen looked better and we can see that Vamahi has been up and down but that is pretty much it. What about all of the rest of them? Chirstman was supposed to be good but can't seem to even solidly get into the 2-deep. Hinsman had a lot of hype coming out. A start left tackle is going to be key and sounds like that isn't a sure thing on the roster right now. Interior will also be pretty iffy if Wypler and Jones don't return. Any word on guys stepping up?

Football Analyzing Dawand Jones’ NFL Draft Declaration

Apologies for the scarcity of late. Figuring out this new dad thing. Should be be back into work full swing next week.

Meantime, here’s some analysis on Dawand Jones declaring for the NFL Draft. I think Dawand helped himself immensely by coming back for another year, and think he’s got an outside chance of being a first-round pick. Also think the next man up is pretty cut and dry for OSU.

Buckeye Scholarship Spreadsheet

Currently making a spreadsheet for scholarships for the Buckeyes. The whole COVID season thing makes me super confused as to who is for sure out of eligibility and who isn't.

Also looking at guys from the 2020 class..
Wypler and Miyan OSU profiles say going into this season they were in Year 3 with 4 remaining seasons. Fleming's said Year 3 with 3 remaining seasons. Have no idea how that works LMAO

Any help would be appreciated.

Are You Watching The National Championship?

Are you watching The National Championship?

  • Definitely

  • No Way

  • Don’t really want to, but likely will in the end.

Results are only viewable after voting.

This one is painful. Not only do I feel like we should be there, but I don’t anticipate it being competitive. The talent gap between Georgia and TCU is ridiculous.

I imagine I’ll watch in the end, but I’ve never been less interested and more frustrated about a National Championship.

Way Too Early Top 25's

Seeing anywhere from #2-#6 on most polls:

We return practically the same team outside:

Offense:
QB
2 OT's

Defense:
Safety's
CB

Gotta say, if we can sure up a solid OL (very likely) and get better in the secondary (also very likely) + one of our two 5 star QB's can play as a top QB... next year could be 🔥

O.T. Buffalo Bill's Safety Damar Hamlin

For those that are not aware, a horrific situation is playing out in Cincinnati when Buffalo Bill's Safety Damar Hamlin collapsed after making a tackle. Medical personnel administered CPR on the field and has been taken to the University of Cincinnati Medical Center and is currently in critical condition.

Really hoping we get good news for him and his family.

Perhaps Harbaugh is the hero we need

Someone needs to take a stand against the NCAA. It won't be Ryan Day, Gene Smith or any other active stakeholder. Whether Harbaugh leaves M or not (I think he will), Harbaugh may be the guy to do it. The NCAA continues to look the other way while programs openly buy players and poach rosters but they want to punish M for buying burgers? If true, the NCAA should just close up shop and cease to exist. I love to hate M as much as anyone else, but we are allies in this fight against shared foes. Harbaugh will not sit idly by and take it.
