Help: 1916 photo Ohio State vs Northwestern Photo

I recently picked up the photo below and it’s an action shot of Chic Harley running in the 1916 Western conference finals. Does anyone know anything about this photo? It’s been inscribed with the score and commentary at the bottom
of the photo. Also do any photo buffs know the technique used to remove the stands. Foe reference I posted the photo with stands.

OSU and UM working together to right the NIL ship…a bridge too far?

Ryan Day and Harbaugh will have a big platform in the CFP. For the good of college football they should come together and hammer a consistent message. ‘The issue is not players making money, we want that. The issue is that there needs to be rules and they need to be enforced. If they are not going to be enforced, there are no rules and game on”.

I really don’t think the NCAA will ever fix this. It will take congressional action. States already have a bunch of inconsistent laws. Congress won’t get involved until it benefits them. Right now probably less than 1% of the public even knows what NIL is. Use the big CFP platform to spread the word on what is happening.

Knowles D Question for Bill

@Bill Landis or could be anyone on the staff. You guys talked players on the pod, but do you think Knowles gets some more of the playbook game ready for the ok state defense that weren’t seen this year? This might be something you’re already working on so apologies if that’s the case.

For example, Spacecoyote on Twitter had mentioned how little Ohio state ran cover 4 this year when that had been a staple at ok state and it kinda surprised him. Just wondering with a few weeks to reset if there was anything he might have up his sleeve for Stetson.

CJ - Heisman experience

Not likely to win it but man this Is what it means to be an “OSU type kid”. This was a quote I saw on Bucknuts. Great young man.

C.J. STROUD

"I mean, it feels amazing to be here again. This is something I've dreamed about as a kid. So I mean, I'm just blessed to really have an opportunity to inspire people, inspire people from back home, not only just back home, but around the world. So just letting everybody know that a young black kid can do anything that you put your mind to if you put God first, do good in school and listen to your parents. So I definitely think that's my job and that's my responsibility of being here at Ohio State."

Basketball Hoops Live Thread: Ohio State vs. Rutgers (7 p.m., ESPN2)

In the building tonight to watch Ohio State vs. Rutgers in the Big Ten opener for the Buckeyes. This will be the second conference game for Rutgers, which beat Indiana in the RAC (or whatever it's called now) last Saturday. OSU will be without Gene Brown, who continues to work his way back from a concussion, and Ice Likekele, who's way from the team as he pertains to a family matter in Texas.

As always, I'll be posting some thoughts on the game here. Happy to chat some hoops with anyone else who's following along.

Jim Knowles

Jim Knowles is supposedly a brilliant man. Do you think he wakes up and figures out that 3 linebackers are better than 3 safeties in this conference? Not the same as the B12 where for the most part do. It play big boy football. Sonny could be the 3rd Linebacker and still guard Tight-ends. Or will Knowles continue to run his 3 safety look that gets rolled over when we play a run oriented team?

Football Big Game Offense

Ryan Day says it typically takes 40 points to win games like the Peach Bowl semifinal against Georgia. Reaching that threshold, and potentially upsetting the Bulldogs, will require Ohio State bucking a trend of offensive shortcomings in Day's biggest games.

Just wanted to say thank you ...

To the community that we're growing here.

It's been a wild few months for all of us and we're grateful for the support that you guys have shown. The new subscribers, the long-time Rivals subscribers that gave us a chance and the group of folks that followed us over here from Lettermen Row.

Just wanted to make sure I put this out there before we get even more embroiled in the chaos of the holidays, the playoff, the portal, signing day, etc.

I think the tenor of the board, even with the occasional snark, has been great and I believe we're really building something special. If you've got family and friends who are Buckeyes fans and aren't on the board, get them in here too!

Thank you, sincerely.
