Is there a bigger piece of human garbage in professional sports?

Publicly announced Tim Wakefield's brain cancer diagnosis on his podcast, against the expressed wishes of Tim and his family.

Followed that up by espousing his Nazi beliefs online (again):

Hard to think of another person worse than this still making waves in professional sports.

OKAY CROOKED ELECTION

So for anyone having doubts about a crooked process during this election especially thru PA, MI, and other places. Guess what, so the Trump team just had a press conference in front of the voting place in Philly to let everyone know they received a court notice so they can observe the voting. SO GUESS WHAT, do you think the MSM would be covering this HUGE NEWS?????? Of course not, I turned on CNN, and nothing. I turned on MSNBC and nothing. Fox was the only one covering it. We all know how the media is, but this goes to show you as well for how they think overall about this country. Wouldn't you take off your glasses and blinders and REPORT NEWS. THIS IS BREAKING NEWS, AND HUGE NEWS. But because we know they hate TRUMP and want BIDEN TO win they won't cover this. Of course not, because again it's another scandal that is just outrageous and should make any AMERICAN regardless of party really UPSET about this. SMH

Video from the sidelines shows the degree of violence

There are a number of videos from the Ohio State vs. Notre Dame game making the rounds. They show what's going on on the field and on the sidelines. I don't think the broadcast camera angles truly show the intensity and violence and speed that the game is played. The college game violence is not for the faint of heart. The aches and pains are a lot easier to deal with after winning. It is also a lot easier from a mental stand point.

Bye week adjustments—third down defense

I love that the buckeyes have a fundamentally sound defense. Seems like we could build on this with a better 3rd down package. It seems like our base defense is built to stop the run. But on 3rd and long we could get more immediate pass rush. Maybe the Jack with Melton? Maybe a dime look with Styles blitzing off the edge? Not saying we need to get crazy and go back to 6 or 7 man blitzes but maybe more creative.

Off/idle/PTO/bye week

@AustinWard @Birm, what’s on tap for the coaching staff and the players this week? What days will they practice? When are coaches back on the road and who will they be seeing? Will you be asking Day what their priorities are and how they balance much needed rest and much needed development, at his presser today (it’s actually Monday and his presser is Tuesday but I’m trying to trick you to think I actually posted this tomorrow). 🤯 Where could I have learned such a trick?

Lastly did Marv do some ET stuff and touch his ankle to heal it? Will the Monarch actually know what to do with some downtime?

Ohio State entering the mix for 2025 four-star WR Talyn Taylor

Special Teams Coordinator Parker Fleming will be attending Taylor's game on Friday and Ohio State could be on the verge of offering. He seems to have some interest in the Buckeyes.

Using Bye Week to Steal from the Dolphins

Our receivers and offense over the past few seasons have been slowed down by "physical" and "sticky" corners. Aka corners that are holding that the refs aren't / can't call every play. We saw it all the time with Joey Porter Jr. Notre Dame did it this year and last year. Michigan has done it. Play a zone with press corners to cover the deep ball and slow our receivers down.

So what can we do to help our best players in Marv and Egbuka get free releases? Well maybe more pre-snap motion like the Dolphins? Tyreek Hill is the extreme example given he is a once in a lifetime type player, but moving a guy like Egbuka around like this pre-snap might open up a lot, not just with DBs, but also LBs which I have read could open up running lanes.

Idk, just random thoughts on a Monday going into the Bye week. Posted a link below on examples which most have already probably seen but just got me thinking.
