who are involved with Israel want a two state solution? I have been trying to find evidence that would convince a rational thinking person why we should think this two state solution is even a serious consideration from Palestinians, Hamas and other Arab nations. There have been 5 offers of a 2 state solution since the British took over after the Ottoman Empire. The Peal Commission was formed in 1936 that agreed there was a mandate for a state of Palestine. So what happened....
1. In 1937 the Peal commission recommended a solution giving 80% of the disputed land to the Arabs (Palestinians) and 20% to the Jews and the Jewish leadership voted to accept the offer. Arabs rejected it and the violence continued.
2. 1947 British turn the matter over to the UN who agree a 2 state solution is needed. The Jews once again accepted the offer and the Arabs declined this time by launching an all out war. 5 Arab nations attacked Israel and still lost the battle. Most of the land set aside by the UN for an Arab state, the West Bank and East Jerusalem, became occupied territory. Occupied not by Israel, but by Jordan.
3. In 1967 3 Arab nations attacked Israel and once agin got that ass whipped and lost much of the territory held by Jordan. It concluded by the Arab League meeting in Sudan and issuing its infamous three-NOs, no peace with Israel, no recognition of Israel, no negotiations with Israel. Again, a two-state solution was dismissed by the Arabs.
4. In 2000 the Ehud Barak offered 94% of the West Bank and east Jerusalem to Arafat. He said no to everything. And launched a series of attacks that killed over 1000 Jews.
5. In 2008 Ehud Omar offered more than the 94% of land that Barak had offered. And it was once again rejected Mahmoud Abbas and the Arabs.
By the way this screams of Apartheid, Colonialist occupation are absurd. Israel left Gaza in 2005. There are no Jews in Gaza. If they were to go there they would be killed. But Palestinians do go into Israel.
Israel has about 9.4 million people of that 21% are Arabs and of those Arabs the vast majority are Sunni Muslim. Did you hear that? There are nearly 2 MILLION muslims living in Israel. Working, going to school, raising families and living life. Arab Muslims are larger percentage of the population of Israel than Black people in America.
For YEARS Israel had had field hospitals that treat Syrian women victims and at times soldiers that were victims of ISIS brutality. Does anybody know how many Jews live in Syria today.....anybody, anybody....Bueller...Bueller....Bueller....! None basically I found something that said 4 not 400 or 4,000 or 40,000 but 4 like count on your hand 4. Thats's down from a community of 80,000 who now live in Israel.
Egypt has about 100 Jewish people left in it down from about 30,000 in the late 1940's. They were run out through discrimination and violence.
Jordan I couldn't find anything on how many Jews live in Jordan other than to say there are no Jews in Jordan. If there are it's such a small number they don't bother to measure it.
Iraq...has a rich history of Jewish people. It is estimated that between 225,000 and 600,000 Jews now In Israel descended from Iraq. But today there are literally a handful of Jews left in Iraq. Basically none or again an amount not even measured.
Saudi Arabia a country of almost 36 million people just recently removed anti semitic teaching from their textbooks. I found info that said 3,000 Jews in Saudi Arabia but again it's a fraction of 1% of a country with over 35 million people. There are no Jews there.
It's like this country after country where Jews have been run out, killed or discriminated against and in danger to the point of leaving all these countries. So what would make people think they support a two state solution when their solution has been to eradicate Jews from their own countries? And of course the whole chanting from the river to the sea, death to Israel...and little quirky things like that.
It's like we live in the upside down. The supposed educated, enlightened folks who support women's rights, gay rights, trans rights totally unrestricted, and speak out against Christians have had a brain fart. They call anybody who speaks out against any of that agenda Fascists Nazis. Yet they are now supporting/defending Hamas????? This is a group of insane religious zealots who would throw gay people off a roof, have no respect for women's rights and are currently involved in and cheering on the second Holocaust. It makes no sense.
