The key to our 2014 title was the way a bunch of the second-year guys became MONSTERS by the second half of the year – Zeke, Lee, Bell, Apple, etc. (Bosa was already there as a true freshman). Especially on D.

Going into this year I thought the same would now apply with the 2017 class.

Young and Dobbins have arrived, obviously (although I'd like to see Dobbins reach yet another level), and Munford has, to my admittedly untrained eye, appeared extremely solid at LT.

So now we need guys like Browning, Wade, and Okudah to get there as well. They've all flashed but certainly have yet to reach that Lee–Bell–Apple level. I know that's an extremely high standard – but that's what it's gonna take to have a real chance against a team like Bama. We beat Bama in 2014 b/c, as it turned out, we had elite, first-round talent coming out of our ears.

So with that said…how do folks feel those guys and the other second-year guys are coming along? It looked to me like Browning, for instance, played his best game today, but as I said I don't have the sort of eye that some here have.
