st - CJ Sanna - I don’t think he takes a backseat to anyone. Attacks and tackles backs like a gazelle. Maybe some clay matthews. Film demonstates ability to attack full speed while still breaking down like a closeout in basketball and ability to instantly re-engage and attack at any new direction - with fluidity and natural athleticism. Explosive athlete for his size - rangy long defender. 247 currently has him as the 35th best linebacker which feels criminal.
nd Will Conroy - lecharles bentley says hes best lineman EVER out of Iggy. I see it. Insane leverage, quickness attacking off ball, balance, and athleticism to move for a center. Josh padilla has stepped on campus and made a name with some of the same attributes (former wrestler), but i would say conroy demonstrates them better. Two schools of thoughts on center - the stud thick guy like josh myers - or the leverage quick guy, - i prefer the second. conroy has bentley traits in style of play. Conroy is gonna make something happen hell or high water and it won't be without effort - he is attacking off the ball.
rd - Sam greer - I think outside of immanual ineanacho - greer has a case for #2 tackle with a group of other players. outside zone he starts rotating his body on the end to set the edge - setting the edge with angle as opposed to just trying to out man his opponent - big physical frame and bend, jeebus - 6 foot 8 size. Uses his size well to keep pass rushers away with his bend and hands……put together entire body works together,. Gets better leverage then riley, can move you without putting you in a sumo match.
th Sincere Johnson - absolute missile firing into the backfield - ability to read and diagnose the play - triggers instantly and with his athleticism, in the backfield blowing it up - but also has patience, and reads and reacts to developing plays
th panotowski - gamer moxy - words i sense but have not seen a full game. has some josh allen in him; throws off back foot while anticpating the correct throw on downfield progressions with a strong arm…….has great command presnap - pocket presence and feet are elite. .someone coming at him in pocket…starts sidestepping while keeping his lower body moving - and easily - very very thick strong mobile lower hips and quads - without it even looking contested or under duress. Elite baseball prospect.
th Preston fryzel - have you ever seen ben skowronek for la rams ? thats this kid. moves different; size mismatch.....6-4 220, and still growing; tight end wr flex.....mismatch. just transitions different - would kill it in days system. I compare him to other tight ends - 0 tight ends in the country move like him. Most wrs don't move like him..........why is he so high on my board for a 3 star ? a kellen winslow weapon - another super plus wr on the field - another guy that needs doubled, priceless. he could be higher. I don't know about his blocking, and i don't particularly care - but with the size he should be much better then a regular wr. skowronek is a good blocker - this kid may be better weapon then him.
th elbert hill - short legs but super fast closing speed - reminds me of nate clements
th Singleton - has the oveall athleticism to look the part for sure ; really quick feet and able to track ball in air
th - Max riley - goodbase; square and power on contact as a pulling guard. Shows upper power when locked on. looks like he understands angles and when to get off a double to goto the second level - super super important stuff. Smart player. Feet, base, and athleticism appears would be a plus pass protector.....only negative-relies on locking his guy up and winning the upper body as opposed to leverage - won't work with college boys - expect a lot of stalemates where he blocks his guy, isn't exactly knocking his guy off the ball but also can be an effective block due to locking him up and shading him on the angle. don't see a bust - should be solid/good at least.
th cam thomas - lb but film all at stand up edge - same film of storm miller- this guy can be a great great penetrating edge - his legs move like tj watt, in just how low they go coming around a tackle or to the ballcarier, with short muscular dog strides, great change of direction. great makeup speed, athletic.
favour akih - like him; athletic back, great ankles and knees. shades of Israel Abanikanda, first team all ACC at pitt recently. Iowa state knows how to evaluate backs. need some more film of him in the hole
Elijah durham smith - pick central has 2 really good dends. you know who else went to pick ? Legend sawyer. This durham smith can carry more weight - he has really long wingspan, and is really good with his arms and hands, good film on the rush using his hands getting vertical side bend and using speed to get to the qb. something about his biomechanics i like - think it has to do with his arms and lower body bend
jamarcus whyce - 270 dt/de ……dayton wayne; much better run defender then robert landers at wayne imo; but not as much pass rush film..strong at point of attack pushing defender back with arms extended; strong run blocker likes straight up contact and stand you up and get off and get back on ground. still pretty quick guy - to pair that combo with that strength is something - he could grow weight into a dt
devonte taylor - from the wideouts in ohio this year i think he's the best of the film i've seen. him or hill. light on his feet; some subtle deceptive route setups that are pretty nice , similar to what dezie jones uses, - 6-2 height too but moves like a longer taller demetrius stanley
emoni smith - safety - committed to louisville - great short area quickness and center of gravity - good film at wide receiver too. plays lot of corner; physical; combo versatile nickel type player
-Cooper mccutchen -moeller - basketball player, natural athlete, not a bad run blocker for being a flex tight end. Natural route runner, similar to the tight end from oklahoma last year miller; but maybe a slight step down. think he is the clear best te after fryzel.
Storm miller - really good at getting around blocks; strong upper body. Mainly just him stand up at end tho; not true linebacking
Allen hill - athlete- michigan offer per 247. 6-5 height, best natural catcher and tracker of ball; best high point contest jump ball catcher in class. Very interesting prospect who doesn't appear he has a quality qb in high school. Get him to a combine/campus and see how much route refinement you need, but he has athleticism and very high upside. he has what even at ohio state most don't have.
Lucas tielsch - looks like a college body; big boy left tackle; looks powerful. 6-7; 300. mountain of a human. like if steve rehring had a little better feet.....sublte athlete that maybe gets viewed as slow ? for his size looks in sync moves his legs well.
mason whilhelm - he has it, carries his body and bend and base very well; not sloppy at all. very similar to riley to be honest with the athletic fundamental base and a thick build to go with it, can see he has the framework of power and athleticism to put a guy on roller skates in a zone system. Great program guy - great genes. His dad was a wardaddy leader of the 2002 ohio state national title team. Will develop
marquis whipple - glenville - 6-3 guard. This guy is a natural wedge, good leverage and low center of gravity, fights -makes stuff happen.
malachi earvin - pick central dend teammate with my number 12 prospect and dend from pick central. Earvin actually is twitchier - he also packs a punch and can knock back lineman and will attack the line. The question is how much weight he will put on in college. From the edge position lb/hybrid position, i like earvin better then sitaneli - earvin if he puts on weight will be a menace. i'm talking great short area agility, he would be a good linebacker. again - he doesn't mind extending his arms into the tackle either.
landry bebe - wasn't sure about his feet in pass pro, but may be ok. this guy does seem like he could be be a good run blocker. i don't think as naturally athletic as whilhelm but he has little pop to him.
Henry ohlinger - rb from grandview - thought he was better then the usc back from film i reviewed
nathan berhnard - not a great read on him honestly but put him here
rj holland - not sure he played much till this year at pick ? quicker trigger and faster then gebhart and plays pure corner, good upside, looks good on hoof
kaden gebhardt - the eli lee of safetys imo, more of a thumper run safety; which isn't bad - nothing flashed to me though. i don't need super athletic or fast but shows just avg instincts to me.
ben cogdon - ot 280, moves like a tight end. is he the next robert gallery or reid fragel when he adds weight ? Right now he plays too frenetic for me, and i don't see for sure translatable base power and technique but some potential here. probably a plus pass protector.
- sam guthrie - ol miami trace - another mountain of a man; but - doesn't appear to me to be able to handle pass rushers the way greer can; looks little uncomfortable on the pass rush. Don't think he looks as smooth, stable, or natural as riley and greer in any part from a hands feet and coordination standpoint. To be clear - he is a mound - and if he gets technique cleaned up might be able to be a force of power but not someone I see a natural. Maybe a better guard then tackle.
Henry perrymond - 5-11 athletic corner; turns his body 360 running full speed effortlessly; can turn his hips with knee in ground one way to get to the other way effortlessly - change of direction is not a problem………..on some of these kick returns and stuff I question is long deep speed. Short routes think would be excellent but seen wrs get a few steps on him where balls were underthrown.
Weatherspoon -nothing stands out - ok he's a versatile athlete but what does he do well in college ? is he a corner cause i don't see corner film. not good enough to be a wideout, at safety not physical enough. not a fan of his arm tackles; has some good triggers from safety; but not a hard hitter; strong tackler; and very undersized immature 170.
demario clemons - penn state db commit; not tall, shows some promise.
Sam hamilton - think ben hartsock. from moeller as well as fellow d1 te mccuthcen, not as good an athlete as mccutchen; but heavier; plays directly on line more; more beef for run blocking; he can track the ball well too in pass game in passes that need reach. not a great route runner tho.
Brayden fogle - tight end, great bball player - from lexington; same school as farmer stover; this guy is consensus best tight end by services, and his film isn't great - looks athletic just standing, but routes on film as wideout were slow and bad except for 1 or 2 routes. -didn't show any blocking - sure he can high point ball and some potential.
Brayden thomas - iowa state safety commit, rangy safety, active feet, long arms, shows ability to be active and run the deep third, could end up pretty good
jarin mock - qb - - guy has a big arm and a featherly touch; pretty interesting qb here. throws it similarto cardale
Kobe clapper - linebacker - i'm sure rated too low. seems solid but not great
Pete Eglitis - solid, fundamental, in sync, just doesn't wow you, not super powerful, but does the job.
Pj mcfarlane - tight end lakota - long strider; maybe second best pass catcher behind fryzel - not great cutter but creates separation with his strides, showed separation on corner swerve route
derek singletary - linebacker/edge
Milan paris - wr iowa state - strong deep speed and straight speed mechanics, somehow this guy gets open by 10 plus yards. not much else besides straight stuff though.

others rated in 247 I evaluated and not impressed enough to rank
jaeden ricketts - freshman film only
arthur scott
bradyn johnson
cadyn turner
daniel vollmer
derek uran
payton cook
malachi taylor
landon miree
