I know it’s only been three months since I joined Scarlet and Gray Report in the first week of March. But today I’m here to announce that this was my last week with this team site.
I am staying in the Rivals network, and I accepted a new role as publisher of the Nebraska team site Inside Nebraska.
It’s an opportunity that truly arose out of nowhere just a couple weeks ago. It was not a decision taken lightly at all, but it was an opportunity I couldn’t pass on.
I promised you guys three weeks ago today that I was going to keep grinding away, be more active on the boards and do everything I could to provide fresh, creative stories that you wouldn’t find anywhere else and combine those with solid reporting. I feel like I did that over the last three weeks, but I’m leaving sooner than I anticipated.
I still have two more stories coming over the next several days. I owe it all of you to finish those out. And I owe it to the players who took the time to meet with me to tell their stories. One is already written and ready to roll, and I think you guys will like it. And I have another that I will finish up over the next week or so when I can carve out some time to write it.
I just want to say thank you to Colin and Gabe, our publisher, for giving me the opportunity to come on board here, and thank you to all of you for reading my work and connecting with me on the boards over the last three months.
Colin is one of the hardest and most talented workers I’ve ever worked with, so I know you will continue to be in good hands with him running the show.
I hope to talk with you guys again soon!
