I have been a member for a long time but I have been spending a lot more time on this site lately and participating a lot more. The staff here - especially with the additions of Ryan, Nevada and Kirk - is by far the best.
I love discussing the Buckeyes and recruiting but there has been some other great (often hysterical) dialogues about movies, actors, directors, Ohio pizza, The WNBA, music, Kiffin, etc. Some really great material contributed by the members...its been a blast.
So I was wondering if there ever has been or if you have ever considered a Poster of The Year Awards voted on by the members and staff.
Some categories could include:
1) Best GIFs
2) Comedian of the Year
3) Most Knowledgeable
4) Biggest Smartass (anyone pop in your mind immediately?)
5) Highest Quality Posts
6) Homer of The Year
7) Least Knowledgeable
8) Worst Grammar and Spelling
9) Smartest Poster / Renassaince Man
10) Obvious Drinking While Posting
11) Best One Liners
12) Highest Percentage of Likes
13) Most Ignores
14) Never Satisfied / Biggest Whiner
15) Pretender of the Year Award (for the guy claiming to have inside info that obviously has none..)
16) Annual Top Sign-offs. (For those that write a this "goodbye forever" and reappear 2 days later).
Maybe we can create a member Hall of Fame. A monthly top 10 lists. How about a posters weekly Hot 11. A top 100 posts of the year?
I am just kind of getting to know the personality or style of more of the members here better this past year. So if anyone has some instant nominations or historical insights about posters here you would like to share, I would love to here them.
I recommend that Ryan drops a class to put this together.
