Last year, the average out of pocket maximum for an individual with an ACA plan was $6,350
This year it's increased to $6,850.
That's an extra $500 insurance companies aren't on the hook for.
Companies are charging more than the previous year but providing less benefits.
If they provided the same benefits as last year, necessarily, the rates for this year would be even higher than they already are.
