I feel like many posters including myself are focusing too much on offensive issues right now. Before anyone screams at me in capital letters & exclamation points, what I mean by that is that although things are anything but smooth on the offense currently, Urban Meyer has proved over his career that he is a great coach and recruiter and that he has not achieved so much success by suffering fools gladly or by accepting poor or mediocre performances on a continuing basis. While I have not liked every decision Urban has made at OSU (for example, not jettisoning Luke Fickell or replacing the departed Tom Herman with Tim Beck as QB coach), I certainly think that Urban has earned the benefit of the doubt from me, the idiot fan. Ultimately, I think that Urban will do whatever is necessary to ensure that the ship gets righted on offense in the next couple weeks with better game-planning, in-game adjustments, and communication between Meyer-Warriner-Beck.
Also, I feel that we should be enjoying this defense more than we have been. We have really one spot on defense where we are not as deep as we would like to be and we have starters playing phenomenally at every unit on defense. Darron Lee, Joey Bosa, Eli Apple, Vonn Bell, Adolphus Washington, Raekwon McMillan, etc. A plethora of players are starting to play (or already playing) at All-American levels. I cannot remember an OSU defense this good since 2002.
I will try to enjoy the ride as much as I can.
