Many here have argued that, no matter how great a coach Meyer is, our offense would do better if he just let Day and Wilson do their jobs. Well, for all of preseason, the team has been practicing the Day/Wilson offense. For game 1, Day/Wilson will have 100% control over both the game plan and the play calling. For games 2 and 3, Day/Wilson will have complete control over the play calling. By the time Meyer is back on the sidelines, the Day/Wilson offense will have taken root.
I have a prop bet pending with Nevada as to whether, during the 12 game regular season, OSU averages more than last year's 523 yards per game. If so, then Nevada donates $1,000 to a charity of my choice. If not, then I'll donate $1,000 to a charity of Nevada's choice. So I've got a vested interest in seeing how this works out....
