Obviously Ohio State is off to a fantastic start to its 2016 (and 2017, for that matter) recruiting class but the rest of the conference is picking it up as well.

- Illinois landed a 3* QB from Florida, Eli Peters, as well as Rivals250 RB Kentrail Moran today.

- PSU has 4 commitments so far, all are four-star guys.

- Both of Michigan's commitments are from four-star prospects and you would imagine Harbaugh's first class is going to be a good one.

- Rutgers has four quality commitments, all three-star guys, one or two will get a look at four-stars before it's all said and done.

- Maryland has three in-state commitments already, including Rivals100 LB Keandre Jones.

- Michigan State has Rivals250 WR Cameron Chambers, will likely get Rivals250 DE Khalid Kareem, has a great chance at Auston Robertson, and is in on several other big names in the Midwest right now.

- Minnesota nabbed Carter Coughlin the other day.

- Wisconsin only has one commitment so far, but its four-star RB Antonio Williams out of North Carolina.

The talent level across this league is about to improve. As I have said repeatedly over the years, the best way to turn the tables on the SEC in terms of the national perception and media coverage is for the Big Ten to win meaningful games outside of the league. That happened this winter and I think we're seeing the results of that.
