I came here as a Clemson Tiger fan on a one month subscription to experience what I thought would be some good football conversation about a heckuva playoff game. I quickly realized that wasn’t gonna happen due to the tone of the overwhelming majority of the message board. I am saying farewell without any discussion whatsoever and I’m perplexed to say the least at the attitudes of most of the Buckeye fans on this board.

Let me start by saying that Ohio State has a tremendous football tradition and what I believe to be the most talented team in the country this year. Hats off to you for a great championship year. Your team was extremely prepared last Saturday night and quite frankly jumped all over my tigers to the point that I was afraid it was over before we could get started good, especially on offense. You should be very proud of those young men. You should also be able to appreciate that Clemson made the plays when they had to and won the game. That’s part of the game; being a tremendous winner as well as humble in defeat. So many on this board are too busy making excuses to even tip your hat to the winner of the game much less congratulate them. So many comments about hoping LSU beats the you know what out of that Clemson bunch and where does the hatred come from? One questionable call, okay a terrible call, by the referees doesn’t make the other team the bad guy all of the sudden. If I were a buckeye fan today, I would say “the incompletion ruling in the Ross catch and fumble was beyond awful but you guys played your tails off and made the plays that needed to be made. You showed why you are the defending champs and I hope you win it again. We had our chances, aside from the crappy refs.”
But nooooooo, instead you act like the guys that every fan base has who sits up behind you or in front of you at the stadium and screams bloody murder at the refs for a bad call on every call against his team no matter if it makes sense or not. The roughing call was absolutely correct. Your player made an awful attempt at the block and mugged Spiers. The targeting call was textbook “leading with the crown of the helmet”. It doesn’t matter what his intent was and it doesn’t matter that the QB tried to brace for the hit and dropped his head a little. HE LED WITH THE CROWN OF HIS HELMET. Period! End of discussion. 24 by all accounts is a great kid. Did I mention he led with the crown of his helmet? Many of you guys, including one of the writers/owners? of this site seem to ignore the content of the rule. You guys are better than this. Seriously.
I’m used to hearing this kind of crap from my Gamecock buddies. But they don’t have a full trophy case. They don’t have a “dotting the I”. They don’t have the game day atmosphere. They don’t “win the last one” like Ohio State typically does. They don’t know what it feels like to “act like you’ve been there” because they haven’t.

I expected better guys and I wanted to let you know that so maybe you can work on it a little. Or at least have someone to direct your anger at besides my “lil ole Clemson” tigers
