1) 1st Round DE: Chase Young (top 3)
2) 1st Round CB: Jeffrey Okudah (top 7)
3) 1st Round OC: Josh Myers (early entry)
4) 1st Round LT: Thayer Munford (early entry)
5) 2nd Round WR: KJ Hill
6) 2nd Round CB: Shaun Wade (early entry)
7) 2nd Round LB: Malik Harrison
8) 3rd Round S: Jordan Fuller
* 9) 3rd Round RB: J.K. Dobbins (early entry) (I am thinking - today - that unless he really steps it up....he could come back.....).
10) 4th Round RT: Brandon Bowen
11) 4th Round DT: Davon Hamilton
12) 4th Round WR: Austin Mack
13) 5th Round: WR: Binjimen Victor
14) 5th Round: DL: Jashon Cornell
15) 5th Round NT /DT: Bob Landers {EDIT - Per Tampa’s heads up}
16) 5th Round: OG: Jonah Jackson
17) 5th Round EDGE: Jonathan Cooper
18) 6th Round CB: Damon Arnette
19) 6th Round APB: Demario McCall
** Other Draft Eligible Buckeye Candidates:
20)) Drue Chrisman P - Ray Guy award winner? Could get a 5th -6th Round grade.
21) Blake Haubeil K - best kicker in the country... so he too could get a 5th - 7th round grade.
22) Rashod Berry TE - he’s my Erick Smith of this class now. I am not going to just arbitrarily give both Kirk Barton and Tyler “free material” to openly abuse me for ANOTHER 3-4 years. But if our 6-5 260 pound small forward Berry (who will test through the roof) is unfortunately our 4th string TE.....And he is just not getting the exposure - that Ruckert for instance took from him yesterday with 2 TD catches. He could UNJUSTLY go undrafted....
23) Josh Alabi OT - “BIG 10 starting caliber swing offensive tackles” have value. Thinking 7th round value today.
24) Liam McCullough LS - I admit. He’s a long shot.... but some team with a few 7ths and a need at LS.. I say look no further than Liam.
Likely to be Undrafted Rooke Free Agents in some team’s camp:
25) Justin Hilliard (unfortunately) I love Hilliard.
26) CJ Saunders (literally...is Dane Sanzenbacher part #2). And like Rashod Berry... if either played at Duke, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Purdue, Pitt, Louisville, Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State (I think you all get my point......... they would each catch 45- 75 balls this year and be drafted 4th -7th round). Because they are both loyal Buckeyes there are 8-10 guys in front of CJ and 2-3 maybe in front of Rashod.
I really don’t see Werner, or Borland, or anyone else on D coming out... unless either:
27) Baron Browning blows up...and / or
28) Brendon White blows up.
Yeah it would be great if Myers and Munford came back. If you all of you guys want to be selfish fans.... I am pretty sure Myers is going to win the Rimington Award, be the #1 OC, a 1st team All American....AND then ALSO get a 1st Round - Top 45 /50 pick grade. So ladies...we have Harry Miller, Luke Wypler and now even Ryan Lithicum all waiting in the wings - we are good until 2027!!!! So I am begging you all NOW to spare me the premature whining....and just simply “DO NOT get your “collective panties” in a “collective wad” over Myers leaving early”. We will be fine... we are - 100-% - without question- “OCU”! I have 2 words for you girls.....
HARRY MILLER!!!!!!!
Then completely unlike 2019.... where you had LT Andre Dillard ONLY.....and then a massive drop off after him... 2020 has at least 5....but maybe up to 9 or 10 LT/ OT 1st round possibilities. Munford “could be” your 1st Buckeye taken with a 1st team All- American year...
I see a National Championship team.
An undefeated 16-0 team... with at least 18 guys drafted... That’s what Texan’s seeing....
I have given you all AT LEAST 28 very viable draft-able options...
And I would love to hear your in depth thoughts... please.
Wow my 76 year old mom just SLAMMED ME!!! And told me - in front of Lorraine.... mind you all (ok in her defense... it was after she heard me complaining Friday when she picked us up....about “getting 300-400 emails every day, processing 40-75 texts a day, having about 80-125 phone conversations every day. Then typically having 2-5 set scheduled meetings every day.... and finally... there are usually 20-50 individuals (mostly employees or manufacturers rep partners) knocking on my always shut door at my office.... asking me if they could “please just get a few minutes of my time - for a quick question (or some guidance or some direction)...
My mom’s advice as she dropped me and Lorraine off at the Cincy / N Kentucky airport.... was this:
“son..... just try to use LESS WORDS going forward in all of your future correspondence and communications”..
Wow, that stung...LOL... it was classic. (And I damn well know my whole family and probably Lorraine were all in on and behind the intervention)....
Anyhow.....back to our Buckeye draft eligible prospects:
Thoughts?
Corrections?
Adjustments?
Comments?
Critiques?
Additions?
Subtractions?
Relocations of any of my proposed draft spots?
Etc... etc...
But any way that ANY of you all want to slice it.... 2020 is THE YEAR that we DEFINITELY have over 15 Buckeyes drafted.
Thank you sirs - for not skimming this post!
And....Please..... enjoy your well-deserved holiday!
