Buckeyes checked off a major goal in the 2023 class by getting their "In-state Big 3" with commitments from Josh Padilla, Luke Montgomery and Austin Siereveld. Padilla is a center, Siereveld is a LG or RG, Montgomery could play either guard or either tackle spots but likely translates to a guard (he does have the athleticism, though not the ideal length to be a tackle).

So...Ohio State still has a massive to-do list item to check off throughout the rest of this cycle: Go get at least one big-time pure tackle prospect (and maybe two tackles). Here is a rundown of Ohio State's in-state recruiting in the past few cycles, why it's been so important for the structure of its OL and some of the top 2023 OT prospects who the Buckeyes will be going big-game hunting for.
