The Ohio State and Bama win out. So we have the first two teams in. Now let’s grt nuts.......

ND wins out
Clemson wins out beats Va Tech in champ game
OU wins out and wins champ game vs. who cares
Georgia loses in $EC Champ Game vs. Bama by 3.

PAC-12 maybe Washington is still alive but in this scenario they wouldn’t get the help they need.

Who is in ?

Some serious drama would be taken place if this were to happen.

Part of me thinks that no matter what ND would get in. Serious money behind them. A new team in the playoff and they would have some common opponents as Clemson.

Georgia and OU and Clemson for one spot.

You would think although they had a hell of a year Georgia would be out. But you and I both know you can’t say that for certain based on how high they are rated now with playing nobody. And they will get some serious SEC love.

OU has some games coming up that could be some nice wins if those teams have nice October months. Texas, TCU and WV at the end of the year. Little osu still might a notable win.

Clemson IMO would hurting. No win vs. a ranked team in regular season. Aggies won’t be ranked by years end and I see 8-4 maybe 7-5 for them. Va Tech is a wild card to be ranked. We just don’t know enough about them with a new QB. They beat ND this weekend and it’s possible they give Clemson a game. QB position is scary right now at Clemson if injury occurs to Lawrence we saw that last weekend. I know Bama gets a pass for a schedule because of the SEC hype. Fine past results can justify that to a point. ACC is the worse conference in the power 5. PAC-12 is better right now. Clemson will pump data into the media for wins vs. Wake and Cuse and talk up A&M but would it be enough. A champ game win sure but ND would have a win at Va Tech not a neutral site win. ND would also have a win over a decent Vandy team. USC might be as good if not better then 70% of the ACC by years end. ND would have a road win there.

Do conference champ game losses hurt you ? Does being independent and no champ game hurt you? Does playing everyone in your conference matter and a second win over them in a champ game really prove enough?

Thoughts ?
