a local family whose father was murdered a few days ago. Watch the OSU vs. Oregon game and help a family.

As you may have heard, Chinedu Madu was tragically and senselessly murdered this week. Chinedu's son is in pre-school at Old St. Mary's school at 18th & Michigan. The Madu family are long standing members of the South Loop Community and are parishioners at Old St. Mary's Church. We are all shocked and saddened by the news and our deep sympathies are for the family.
First hand accounts by those who knew him tell of a terrific father and community member, who spent many of his off hours volunteering for the Old St. Mary School, trying to make a better future for his family.
Monday night, during the NCAA Championship Football game, the Old St. Mary's Booster club & Weathermark Tavern (1503 South Michigan Ave) are hosting a game watch for the OSU and Oregon game to benefit the family. 100% of the proceeds will go to the Madu family. The cost of the evening is $50 per person and gets you domestic beer, wine, and wings.
