Have a friend of the family (I don't know the kid) who went on recruiting visits to Clemson and Texas A&M. Kid is strong in his Christian faith and not into the party scene.
The A&M players kept trying to get him to party. He politely said it wasn't his thing over and over.
Eventually, Jimbo met the kid and the first thing he asks is "what do you think of all the parties? are you having a great time?"
At Clemson, there was no pressure for parties with recruiting. They actually emphasized the importance of faith and had a team Bible study that the kid could attend.
He ended up picking Clemson.
Have to say, I'm much more a fan of the Clemson approach. Not pressuring kids into "partying" etc.
Makes you think that the whole Jameis Winston thing wasn't an accident...
