Gathered some information yesterday on two of Ohio State's top targets in the 2017 class who both happen to be defensive backs from Georgia.
Will start with Richard LeCounte who we watched at the FBU Top Gun camp in Dublin (Ohio) yesterday. Richard will likely get over to campus at some point today and possibly tomorrow as well but with the coaches being mostly out of the office right now, this trip will really just be to hang out with Raekwon McMillan and some of the players.
In more immediate news, things are still on schedule for Rivals100 safety Isaiah Pryor. Pryor will be at Georgia's Dawg Night tomorrow, their big recruiting event similar to Friday Night Lights. This visit has been planned for a while now and I have been told it is really more of a matter of following through on his word to the UGA coaches that he would be there more so than UGA gaining momentum here.
Pryor is still headed for a decision in the very near future. Things really start to heat up for Georgia high school football in mid-August and I asked a source close to Pryor if he would be committed somewhere by that time and was told that he "absolutely" would be.
Pryor and both parents have called Kerry Coombs this week just to chat and I'm told that Coombs' approach to the recruitment has been very well received by everyone and that at this point most of the talks don't even revolve around football so clearly there is a great relationship there between Coombs and the Pryor family.
I am still expecting very good news for Ohio State here in the near future.
