We all get the letdown post an epic, emotional outpouring like last week (see iowa, 2017). We were all fearing it the entire week, the team spoke about it to the media all week, yet it still happened.
The striking thing about today is that the team looked outright tired.
Like, d-line was SHOT and couldn't get normal pass rush, which left our (apparently) man cover only dbs on islands all game to get picked apart.
On offense, the o-line has their cement shoes on and the backs lacked pop too, unable to break tackles.
It makes me think that in order to NOT letdown this week that the coaches potentially OVERworked the guys this week and maybe went too hard.
Seriously cant recall a conference game where for stretches we actually looked slower than the other team.
Thoughts?
