This message is for those on the left who think the tax cut is truly a terrible idea and is in fact the monstrosity that Schumer and Pelosi say it is, I have a very moral and elegant solution for you:
Continue to pay your taxes at the old rates and rules.
For the overwhelming majority of those on this board, that number will be significantly higher than what the cut will provide. But since you, in your bleeding heart of hearts, think it is such a bad idea, you can take a stand and continue to pay more at the old rates. The govt WILL absolutely take the extra money.
Just think how good you will feel in your heart that you are resisting Trump. Just think how straight your moral compass will be knowing you are actually backing up what you say with your actions. Just think how proud you will be knowing you are not a hypocrite. Hell, even round up the number from there. Give as much as you can to the all-beneficial and all-knowing government. After all, one of your base tenets is the gov't can spend your money better than you can. What better place to start than your own wallet?
Just so you know, if you don't do this, to claim the tax cut is evil and yet still subscribe to it for your own benefit and greed is the pinnacle of hypocrisy. Your call.
