(Kimberly Guilfoyle) – President Trump has done wonders for women across America — and Nevada is a prime example of how his policies are helping women thrive and prosper like never before.

Next week, on August 26, the Trump Campaign will celebrate the 99th anniversary of women earning the right to vote. We’ll mark that milestone by launching a major Women for Trump voter-registration drive, recognizing that President Donald Trump’s policies are empowering American women and ensuring that every family is able to reap the full benefits of the economic renaissance his policies have created.

The Nevada economy as a whole has been booming in recent months, thanks to President Trump’s pro-growth agenda of slashing job-killing regulations and cutting taxes for the middle class. Since Donald Trump’s inauguration, there have been more than 100,000 new jobs created in the state, reducing the overall unemployment rate by an impressive 1.2 percentage points.

In June, the female unemployment rate in the Silver State also hit 4.3 percent — which is even lower than it was last year, and it’s also lower than the current unemployment rate among males. If President Trump’s rejuvenating economic policies remain intact, this wave of statewide prosperity will continue improving the lives of thousands of female Nevada workers for many years to come.

Nationally, since January of 2018, more than half of the new jobs have gone to women and there are now more women in the workforce than ever before! And women aren’t just finding great jobs, they’re creating great jobs.

There are now more than 12.3 million women-owned businesses in the U.S. who are employing millions more and — get this — they’re generating $1.8 trillion in revenue. Women are more likely to start a business than men, and last year, there were more than 1,800 new women-owned businesses created every day.

Beyond the strong economy, though, President Trump has also made major progress is reforming critical parts of the federal government.

He has led a transformation at the VA, which is impacting the lives of tens of thousands of American veterans and their families in Nevada alone. By signing the MISSION Act, the President has delivered meaningful change to the Department of Veteran’s Affairs by improving veterans’ access to affordable, quality healthcare throughout America.

Notably, Donald Trump is also emphasizing the importance of protecting and strengthening American families — the most fundamental building block of our society. As an example, the President has reformed our criminal justice system, ensuring that our prisons successfully prepare inmates to lead productive, crime-free lives before releasing them into our communities.

Protecting our families from crime and lawlessness, however, also requires securing the border. This is especially important for Nevada, which is located less than 200 miles away from Mexico. President Trump’s immigration policies, particularly constructing the border wall, are specifically designed to reduce the violent crime and illegal drugs that gangs and cartels bring to American communities, and to weaken the human trafficking networks that prey on countless thousands of women and children every year.

Just a few short months ago, The New York Times published a disturbingly detailed report about female migrants enslaved by sex traffickers after crossing the U.S.-Mexico border. Comprehensive studies have also estimated that up to 80 percent of women and young girls are raped on their way to the U.S. This is unacceptable, and the President is right to fight to end it.

Sadly, President Trump’s efforts to secure the border have been consistently obstructed by Democrats in Congress who care more about politics than people. Even worse, the vast majority of the Democrats running for president in 2020 have indicated that they support decriminalizing illegal immigration. This dangerous move would only exacerbate the ongoing humanitarian crisis, while also exposing American neighborhoods to even greater risk from drugs and violence.

That’s why Women for Trump is holding nationwide voter-registration training sessions on August 22, including one right here in Las Vegas that I invite you to attend. Then, on August 26, the 99th anniversary of the 19th Amendment’s certification, we’ll put those skills to work and register as many women as possible so they can vote in the 2020 presidential election.

The Trump administration has big plans for the second term, including paid family leave and child care legislation to assist working parents, so this is about more than just preserving our recent gains.

President Trump’s policies have had a major impact on advancing the interests of women — but those policies have also ensured that every man, woman, and child has the opportunity to live the American Dream. Come 2020, it’s going to be up to us ladies to help deliver President Trump four more years, and the work starts now!
