Despite sound science, from what I understand, there is still between 20 to 30 percent in the US who don't believe global warming is man-made or that humans contribute towards it. These are most likely right -wingers and they will probably be very vocal after the Pope makes his statement. Should be interesting since the Pope has a little scientific background. I don't think he actually has a masters in a scientific field, but knows more than the average person.
