He's not necessarily 'all that'.
Is he a really good player? Yes. Will he likely go pro now? Yes.
But people make him out to be the greatest freshman ever, the second coming of Jesus Christ.
He has NBA type skills, but he still makes plenty of freshman mistakes. And he is decidedly not as dominant or consistent against top level competition. But he will get drafted high based on his potential (because that's how the NBA works), but I watch enough NBA To see that this kid is not going to light the league on fire next year. It's not like he looks like Kevin Durant out there, which is sort of what he's made out to be.
As far as best freshman ever at osu - IMHO, this team would be light years better if they had to drop Russell, but could pick up a freshman Sullinger or Oden. Case closed.
