The Fourth Wiseman chimned in with a report

"I told you last week howthe responsibilities for Red zone and Third down coordination was taken off of Zach Smith's plate---and put full time onto Tim Beck/Ed Warinner's....

What was interesting was to see how that impacted what Ohio State ran--and who they ran it with...

Here were some of the recommendations from Beck/Warinner..

1) JT Barrett should be the QB in the red zone-----and they even recommended that on fourth and short he would be a better fit for the offense

2) That Warinner should be released from some offensive line responsibilities--in order that he spend more time with the wide receivers going over route concepts and combinations(which happened last week for the first time)

3) That all targets for "touches" or ball contact should be abandoned(which happened---only guy that ended up not meeting their goals as a result was Curtis Samuel)

4) that JT be given full audible authority(which we saw in game on several occasions)

5) that Cardale be given full audible authority(which wasn't granted---yet--but could be coming)

6) that Beck/Warinner conduct the majority of QB meeting together...(which happened)

7) that they be able to burn redshirts on three players(two wide receivers and one lineman)--which wasn't granted--but still could be coming

8) that they be allowed to be a little more liberal with dialing up QB runs in the red zone

6 for 6 in the redzone was impressive. Meyer expects more of the same---and is going to continue to give these guys more responsibility."

more to come....
