Was out walking my dog this morning and ran into my neighbor who is an Anne Arundel county (Maryland) family court judge who doesn’t have a dog in this fight but did have some great insights on this whole mess
1. The text messages: he makes it quite clear in early discovery hearings that unless they can be corroborated by either hard records or meta data, don’t even try to introduce them, he said he has had to go as far as to censure people that try and introduce them as they are so unreliable and easily manipulated
2. As a judge there would be no way he would grant joint custody or even unsupervised visitation of a child if ZS was as violent and dangerous as she has claimed and would have surely presented in the divorce proceedings
3. He has seen hundreds of examples of spouses scheming to entrap the other to gain the upper hand (and he said that trespassing is the classic example) his only comment was that it never ends well and judges and the police are well aware of this scheme and don't appreciate it
4. Overall, he feels bad for the kids as they are at the center of this but are not even being mentioned
