Just why do republicans oppose infrastructure spending?

Well, here are 4 pretty unreported reasons, and it's not too unexpected. It fits in with their "hate big government" philosophy. Number 3 is a doozy. It involves privatization with tax breaks and subsidies for those who want to privatize the system.

The funny thing is, it was actually 2 republican presidents who probably did more to help our nation's infrastructure than any other presidents; Eisenhower's interstate highway system, and Lincoln's transcontinental railroad project. I wish we had that party back, that had the vision to think big, instead of contracting everything.
