I've been going through audio today from a few coaches we talked to yesterday, and this quote really stood out from offensive line coach Justin Frye.

This is what he responded with when he was asked what he learned from his time at UCLA under Chip Kelly:

"I don’t need to come in here and reinvent the wheel. The offense here was really damn good. It’s my job to come in here and supplement that. Just being the coordinator there and not just being a line guy, coming here, being able to speak language and talk about the perimeter, talk about the outside, talk about how the play action really sets up with this run, which gives this concept openness. I think the experience of being a coordinator, running a room that way is really going to help (and) be beneficial to these guys here because we are looking at the big picture together and not just looking in the box."

I think this is going to be huge for the development of the offensive line, one that could lead to increased understanding of what the run fits and schemes actually mean for the entire line instead of just being singular focused. Also has an affinity for breaking it down to the basics, "blocking and tackling." Simplifying the approach and letting the players in on the big picture could be vital for the overall understanding for this unit.
