RE:rvx-208 biochemistry
So I did that progress post on April 2 at 12:57
summarizing the accelerating rate of discoveries and announcements by
RVX. There is a clear change in the level of communications.
They continue to demonstrate there progressive approaches regarding the science with advanced analytical approaches. state-of-the-art microarray analysis. Emerald Logic FACET Predictive modelling The presence of analyst coverage is a very positive sign.
On the business development side I should have expected the patents in
China because they (RVX) had this area in the strategic plan chart that
has been posted by others. Of course this development adds far more
leverage to negotiations with AZ, Pfizer and others in combination with
the patents in the EU, USA and many other countries as I understand it.
The concept of developing licensing partners has been around for awhile and now seems to be becoming more tangible.
The other thing that struck me is that in the presentations given by
Dr. Jan Johannson, Dr Wong and Don McCaffery in various countries
recently is that they speak of the BETonMACE trial with a great degree
of certainty that the trial will be approved by the FDA. It strikes me
that they do not seem to have any doubts about approval of the phase 3
BETonMACE trial being approved by the FDA. Keep in mind that they have
been presenting in front of very prestigious audiences and yet they are
being fairly bold.
The other aspect of their presentations as
that they use language such as ...."as to why rvx-208 reduces MACE".
This is indeed very certain and bold language.
We know full
well, or at least I feel very strongly, that RVX is not pumping the
stock. Perhaps that may have happened 12 years ago...I don't know. But
now, at phase 3, this is serious business and I believe they (RVX) know
what they have and have known it for a long time.
My impression
is that after the ASSURE announcement they went through a very serious
period of introspection, analysis and fairly rapid understanding of the
rvx-208 impact on MACE reduction. And now it seems that the company is
genuinely enthused about the probability of success of BETonMACE.
Anyway, just my reflections.
