We've had some discussion during the past couple games about the preferred format of discussion here on the Grove during game days. Here's a poll to represent a few options and I'll break down how I see the pros and cons below. Feel free weigh in with posts as well as poll votes, but the poll vote tally will likely be what we use.

All posts in game thread - This keeps all of the game day discussion in one individual thread for the most part. It allows the mods to focus on maintaining only one thread and to focus more fully on our game coverage for you guys. It also prevents a multitude of game day threads cluttering the board and killing all discussions starter prior to Saturday, as well as multiple redundant threads. On the other hand, some people feel the game day thread is too cluttered for good discussion.

Allow posts outside game day thread - basically, this is the "Wild West" some people have wanted on the board. Beyond personal attacks and insults, nothing will be locked or deleted and you guys can start all of the threads you want to. This allows each poster to weigh in with their own topic during the game if they so choose, but also has many redundant threads about the same topic and discussion can be more spread out rather than concentrated. It makes it harder for us to moderate on game days as well

A few concentrated threads - We would have the game day thread still, as well as a thread to update injury status for players as the game develops. Additionally, we could set up "game threads" for the non-OSU games. I.e, B1G Saturday games, night games, and so on. We would continue deleting or locking threads outside the game thread and this would potentially create multiple sources of good, concentrated discussion.

Looking forward to hearing some ideas, thanks folks

Note: You can select multiple options because 1 and 3 are compatible and the other ideas might not preclude the listed ones
