I wanted to leave this here because I don't think many people understand the historical depth and weight that nepotism has had on football in general both College and Pro. I'm not making an argument that "So and so" should of been on the staff or shouldn't. But I am seeing a lot of fans "not remember" how many coaches got their start because of their blood relation or family friend.

Nepotism has been going on in Football forever and is extremely prevalent in College as well. Bowden, Paterno and Holtz all hired their kids. The Stoopses (Bob, Mike and Mark). The Spurriers (Steve and Steve Jr.). The Carrolls (Pete and Brennan). The Prices (Mike, Eric and Aaron). The Nutts (Houston and Danny). The Tressels (Jim and Dick). The Grohs (Al and Mike). And so on. In college Jeff Brohm hired his two brothers at Purdue. Lane Kiffin hired his dad and brother...Hell how did Lane Kiffin get his start? Here is a taste from the NFL:

• Bill Belichick, Patriots (Steve Belichick, coaching assistant)

● Jeff Fisher, Rams (Brandon Fisher, defensive backs coach)

● Marvin Lewis, Bengals (Marcus Lewis, defensive assistant)

● Andy Reid, Chiefs (Britt Reid, assistant defensive line coach)

● Lovie Smith, Buccaneers (Mikal Smith, safeties coach)

● Mike Zimmer, Vikings (Adam Zimmer, linebackers coach)*

● Pete Carroll, Seahawks (Nate Carroll, assistant wide receivers coach; Brennan Carroll, assistant offensive line coach)**
