Two 3:30 p.m. starts: Hawai’i on BTN; NIU on ABC
Start times now set for seven of the team’s 12 regular season games

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Game times and television network carriers have been set for two more 2015 Ohio State football games. The 2015 home opener for the College Football Playoff national champion Buckeyes, Sept. 12 against Hawai’i, will kick off at 3:30 p.m. with the Big Ten Network televising the game. The following week’s game – Sept. 19 vs. Northern Illinois University at Ohio Stadium – will also feature a 3:30 p.m. kickoff. ABC will carry the game in regional markets with an ESPN2 reverse mirror for the national broadcast.

The Big Ten Conference released a total of 23 additional game times and television carriers for the first three weeks of the 2015 college football season today.

Ohio State and Hawai’i, under the direction of fourth-year head coach Norm Chow, are meeting for the first time in the sport of football. The game will be played just five days after Ohio State opens defense of its national championship with a Labor Day evening game – 8 p.m. kick on ESPN – against Virginia Tech at Blacksburg, Va.

Ohio State and Northern Illinois have played once previously: a 35-12 Buckeye victory in 2006 at Ohio Stadium. The Huskies are coached by Rod Carey (23-6 in two seasons plus the 2013 Orange Bowl) and have been Mid-American Conference champion three of the last four seasons.

Game times are now set for six games with an approximate game time – either 7 or 8 p.m. – set for the Nov. 7 game against Minnesota at Ohio Stadium. Game times still need to be set for home games against Western Michigan and Michigan State, and for road contests at Indiana, Illinois and Michigan.
