I believe you have to look at 4 classes to see the results of any one team. Our National Championship in 2014 was not the result of 1 recruiting class, it was a combination of 4 classes.

And within these 4 classes, we had dismissals, injuries, departures, transfers, etc. When I put those classes together, here's what it told me.
  • Class rankings
    • 2011 - 11th
    • 2012 - 4th
    • 2013 - 2nd
    • 2014 - 3rd
  • 96 Players recruited.
  • 24 Players not with team anymore or too injured to play, 1 in the NFL (Shazier)
  • Combined Star Rankings of the remaining 71 recruited players on 2014 Championship team
    • 5 Star = 4
    • 4 Star = 42
    • 3 Star = 24
    • 2 Star = 1
If nothing else, it's fun to look in the rear view mirror and try not to obsess over Rashan Gary or Sam Bruce. :) It's not perfect science, just an attempt to look at Urban's recruiting as a whole and relish in his successes.

Boy, would I like to see James Clark or Johnny Dixon on the field, When you look yourself, who are your players that stand out to you, here and gone?
