The "NCAA Evaluation Tool" (no one said they're clever) has replaced the RPI as the new sorting tool used to measure/compare teams during the NCAA men's basketball selection process.
This new tool will take into account offensive/defensive efficiency, game results (wins & losses), location and a few factors. With help from several statisticians (like Pomeroy, Sagarin, etc.), they have tested this new metric against empirical results.
