This is a bigger deal than its attention is garnering. Once these PE firms get into these teams they will bleed these teams dry. They don’t give money without a tangible, quick return. These NFL (all sports) owners rely on the equity they have in their clubs to largely fund their lifestyles via no interest loans and lines of credit. Once PE gets involved the game changes. Also, the fan experience is going to get way worse and much more expensive.
