Hey guys curious...
I'm going this weekend to get a 9 week old Golden Retriever for the girlfriend and 4 year old daughter we found an amazing deal on.. Any advice for me about the breed??
We work depending on the day from 9 to to 4 and come home for our lunches at different times for an hour everyday. She takes lunch from 12 to 1 and me from 2 to 3 so the pup will be out quite frequently thru the day. We also have arranged our neighbor to come over to let out and check on or play a little bit with him. I'm off every other Tuesday and her every weekend, I mostly am off every one as well.. We are active when we get home from going on walks or to parks and out and about.. Every weekend we will go to my football games or just random things. Both our parents have nice sized yards wuth other animals they will be playing with.
Ive seen many people say they have calm somewhat lazy Goldens and some are more hyper. Most all say if you will be gone to for sure crate train them with plenty of chew toys but amazing dogs for family and to just be around in general. Main con and only I seem to here about is the shedding.
