Ohio State listed mic’d-up player development would take place on the main court at the Schott before camps began.
Assistant coach Jake Diebler worked with incoming guards four-star freshman Bruce Thornton and West Virginia transfer Sean McNeil.
First impressions
Bruce Thornton is much bigger than I thought he’d be when he would arrive on campus. His upper body looks ready for a college strength program and he seemed smooth from the outside.
Sean McNeil is detail-oriented. Diebler had him go through a series of pivot drills, and McNeil kept at it for about three or four rotations, moving from the elbow to the top of the key.
Buckeyes in attendance
During camps, we’ve seen a handful of players on Ohio State‘s roster.
Oklahoma State transfer Isaac Likekele and redshirt freshman forward Kalen Etzler worked the scorer’s table during Dailyn Swain’s first game Thursday. Those two have stuck together pretty often.
Also caught glimpses of Seth Towns, Justice Sueing, Wright State transfer Tanner Holden, forward Zed Key, guard Eugene Brown III and freshmen Felix Okpara and Brice Sensabaugh.
Haven’t seen Chris Holtmann so far today, but assistants Diebler, Jack Owens and Mike Netti are in attendace.
