So yesterday it comes out that the Cleveland Browns have brought on Art Briles in a guest role as an offensive consultant. They have (quite possibly rightfully) taken quite a bit of heat for this due to his handling of Baylor. At best it's tone deaf. I honestly didn't pay a ton of attention to the whole situation other than to say things were a mess. My question is, what exactly do we KNOW about Art Briles in that whole situation? Was there strong evidence of wrong doing on his part or did they feel like they just needed to clean house? I honestly don't know.
