I need some recs on what to do in that area.
My son is stationed in Ft. Rucker, Al as some of you already know. He has a four day weekend coming up for Labor day. He wants to meet me somewhere on Friday and spend the weekend together. I'm in northern Ohio so Nashville is about the midway point give or take.
He doesn't turn 21 for another month so drinking together in the bars is not really a weekend plan.
I already have recs on some nice golf courses but looking to maybe do something a little different and special.
Or any other ideas besides golf?
How about any lakes with camping/cottages/fishing...etc? Nashville Shores?
I know it may be hard to find a cottage for the holiday weekend.
