Any locals (San Francisco) or visitors are welcome to join me Wednesday evening at Woods on Polk St for the Islay IPA release, a double IPA aged in Laphroaig barrels (I'm buying). Haven't had this beer before but I'm looking forward to trying it. The release runs from 5-10pm so I'll probably be there during the first few hours.
I have a backyard project in progress that prevented me from attending the Divine Origins release on Treasure Island yesterday but I had both styles delivered last night. A neighbor and I are going to try them soon. The beers were fermented with hops and grapes and aged in oak. I have no idea what they are going to be like.
