As others here have correctly stated, there are more than a few parallels with this story to the Duke LAX abortion of justice. I can tell you with reasonable confidence of another that hasn't materialized yet, but will.
Not long after the Duke case resolved, Crystal Mangum was arrested for murder, arson, assault and battery, etc, etc. All said and done, she received about three months. She surely learned from her mistakes, as a year later she was arrested and convicted for murder via repeatedly stabbing her boyfriend.
Mark my words, before you know it, Courtney Smith will be in the news for stabbing her boyfriend or something of the kind. Perhaps another false DV claim. Leopards never change their spots. Its coming, and when it does the silence from the holier than thou crowd will be deafening.
