is a phrase used a lot by people talking on the cable news channels. It is ambiguous and nebulous in meaning, and should be abolished in the interest of clarity. Furthermore, it discriminates against white people. Isn't white a color? But 'white' people are not actually white; they are various shades of pink. Last I heard, pink is a color. I prefer the term 'Caucasian' to 'white', because it allows for more difference in skin tone. Traits such as facial features, musculo-skeletal structure, and hair type are at least as important determiners of race as is skin color.
