I reached out to the Powell Police Department the other day and got a response yesterday evening. We continued to hear about the October 26 report changing and saw the 2 reports the Reddit Attorney provided and wanted to confirm if there was a 3rd copy. I wasn’t expecting much as I knew I probably wasn’t requesting the right way and you’d think by how some have tried to paint the Powell PD recently, that they were extremely painful to work with and uncooperative.
1. The Powell PD is fantastic! I had no clue what I was doing, but they were extremely nice and helpful in the exchanges I had with them. I’m not a writer, I’m just another person that’s fed up with how this story was being told and wanted my own answers and they not only helped, but provided me the number to Chief Vest to continue our discussion.
2. I was able to confirm there was in fact a report that did incorrectly say “arrested” as Brett claims he has/had. Not the answer I wanted, but it’s worth noting.
I don’t think I’m going to reach out to the Chief, but it blows my mind that I, someone who had no idea what he was doing, was able to not only get the clarification I wanted, but was able to get an open door to the Chief to discuss this in more details. Meanwhile, it’s Bretts job, his life and he didn’t make the smallest of efforts...?
