This time of year I pay attention to the "special offers" I receive in my laundry list of daily emails. With Christmas coming, there has to be some great deals out there I figure.
Just yesterday, I received an email from Dicks Sporting Goods on an early Black Friday offer where certain items are marked down "drastically". Since I will soon be in need of a pair of new work boots, I thought I would see what they had to offer. I found a pair that I liked that went for $125, but sadly they were not one of the early Black Friday specials. Fine, I thought. I'll just wait.
Well today, Dick's email has a special offer where you can deduct $10 off any chosen product for every $50 you spend (up to $30 max). Hmmm. Sounds pretty good. I figure I can now get those boots for $105, ($125 minus $10 twice, right?) Going on line, I quickly look up that same pair of boots and find.....that they are now listed as $145.
Has anyone else come across similar "deals"? LOL
