Hey everybody. One of my "hobbies" is going to auctions. Don't know why - I guess I just like to see stuff I've never seen before. Old stuff (I do enjoy real history you can touch) and sports stuff usually get my attention. Heritage Auctions is one of the best auction houses in the country. They're HQ is in Dallas and I get occasional updates of their online auctions. I figured some of you might be interested in scrolling through their upcoming Sports Memorabilia auction. It features some very rare items:
- Baseball: Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, Ty Cobb, Joe DiMaggio, Ted Williams, Mickey Mantle and a 1927 NY Yankees World Championship ring among others.
- Football: Steelers SB ring & trophy, Patriots SB ring, Jack Lambert game-worn jersey
- Basketball: LA Lakers WC rings & Jerseys
- Mohammed Ali fight shoes from the "Thrilla in Manilla"

A lot of the items will sell in the 6-figure range - too steep for my blood for sure - but still interesting to look at. Maybe Nevada will want to add to his collection!!
