So what is the lesson for all head coaches to learn from the Zach Smith crisis?

Here's my take. If you're a head coach and you catch wind of even a hint of a domestic issue at the home of one of your coaches, you fire him immediately. Sorry for my French, but **** him, **** his wife/partner, **** his kids and **** his dog. It doesn't matter if they have to live in the street, all that matters is that the coach protects himself and the program in order that he doesn't leave himself open to claims of protecting an abusive husband. Otherwise, the greater community will excoriate you the coach as well as the entire program. And let's be clear, the people crucifying Meyer now don't give a flying **** about Courtney Smith or the children. If Urban were to be fired or resign, none of the people calling for Uban's head would be checking in later to see how Courtney or her kids are doing. Ok, rant over.
