Somewhere in North Campus
- We talked a bit about Jaylen Harris going into his Ohio State visit and how I felt about the Buckeyes' chances there. I haven't had the chance to get on the phone for a full length update, but I've texted with him and some people in his camp and I continue to feel very, very strongly about Ohio State's chances in that one.

Harris got the full court press on the sidelines pregame, hanging out with Zach Smith, Tony Alford, and Mark Pantoni the entire time. This is their top in-state target on the board and they are showing it. There had been some thinking circulating that they would take things slow so as not to scare off any potential 2017 WRs with having a few guys commit early. I talked to an Ohio State source who didn't put any water into that.

"Damn that, we want [Harris] badly," the source said.

I think they'll get their wish. It should happen sometime between December and June, but the Buckeyes are in really good shape here.

- Ohio State has turned up the heat a little bit on 2017 Virginia running back Khalan Laborn. The Buckeyes were (unofficially) running third there behind VT and FSU when he released his top five, but they're looking to change. Ohio State has been reaching out on Twitter and hoping to get him on campus here soon. If Trey Sermon is 1a, Khalan Laborn is 1b on the RB board.

It could be interesting to see how Ohio State would be looking to use him on the field however. Laborn is absolutely deadly in space and has spent a good amount of time at the HS level as an H-back rather than a true tailback and he is very reminiscent of Curtis Samuel. I like this kid a lot and so does Ohio State.

- A pair of huge underclassmen Ohio State targets were on the road this weekend taking a visit to Penn State for their "stripe out" game against Rutgers. Jaelen Gill and Lamont Wade, among others, were both in attendance. I still feel very strongly about OSU's chances with both guys, but Penn State is probably running second for Wade right now. Terry Smith was the best recruiter in Pittsburgh when he coached at Gateway and he's done very well at Penn State too.
