Of course it really sucks about Bosa. As I think he is (fairly clearly) the most dominant player in college football right now. (With Ed Oliver, Tua Tagovailoa, Will Grier and Dwayne Haskins rounding out the top 5).

Bosa can’t be replaced. I get all of that. But I love Jonathan Cooper and I think we can still field a dominating defense.

I don’t intend to bash any of these guys individually... But with all of the talent that we have on our defense.. I would just like to see what some of our other guys can do next week. As another poster noted... I am sure Harrison, Wint and Pryor have looked the best in practice..

I just think the “best 11” (or 12} next week would be:

DE: Jonathan Cooper
DT: Bob Landers
DT: Dre’mont Jones
DE: Chase Young
LB: Pete Werner
LB: Tuf Borland
{LB: Baron Browning (edit per @Hank Kingsley}
CB: Kendall Sheffield
CB: Damon Arnette
DB: Jeffrey Okudah
DB: Shaun Wade
FS: Jordan Fuller

I know...those that know.. all say that Okudah isn’t moving to safety.. and that’s fine...and then I know Browning has been playing in the middle...

I was just thinking that this group is - IMO...our best 11 /12..and I would have you all just let me know, if (or how) this lineup would work or not...

Then after these 11 /12. who else do you think is playing well? Which backups do you want to see more of?

I would say LB Hilliard, DT’s Garrett and Togiai and DL Cornell...

What do you guys think?
