This is GREAT!
If you’re Ohio State it allows you to maximize the plays, play more of your players who are top notch, and make the other team ply more of their backups...which usually aren’t as good as ours.
Finally we actually do a REAL hurry up.
Why the change? Why didn’t JTB ever do this? With him it seems like we hurried to the line then waited. Minimizing the plays in the game. I guess that minimizes wear and tear and injuries...but there are so many other benefits.
And at Ohio state, you attract talent: and that talent wants to PLAY!!
