OSU's win over Wisconsin just took a lot of the luster off the OSU-Michigan game. With the Wiscy game out of the way and a couple of layups in the next 2 games, OSU can clinch a spot in the B1GCG with a win against PSU. Lose that game and OSU's chances of winning the B1G and making the playoff are virtually nil (PSU would have to lose to both Minnesota and Indiana).
I don't see the committee taking 2 B1G teams. However, I do see them taking OSU as B1G champ... even as a 12-1 champ with a loss to Michigan. Their body of work this year is impressive and they won't have an embarrassing loss to an unranked Iowa or Purdue spoiling their resume like the last two years.
So, the season rides on the PSU game. Any focus on Michigan needs to shift to PSU... any extra practice or film time they would have devoted to Michigan now needs to be on PSU. It's a crazy situation with those two games back to back at the end of the season... and even crazier that the OSU-Michigan game has little relevance for post-season goals.
